Photographe amateur passionné depuis les années 1970, j'ai fait mes premiers pas dans la chambre noire du club photo de Saint-Michel, près d'Évreux. Depuis, la photographie ne m'a jamais quitté. Elle est devenue un langage, un regard posé sur le monde, parfois critique, parfois bienveillant.

J'ai une admiration profonde pour des photographes comme Letizia Le Fur, Saul Leiter, Stéphane Lavoué, Ismail Ferdous, Camille Brasselet, et bien d'autres encore, qui m'inspirent par la force de leur univers et leur regard singulier.

Aujourd'hui, je poursuis cette passion avec un Leica Q2 et un Fuji X-H2, accompagné de son fidèle objectif 16-55 mm. Mes images prennent vie dans DXO Photolab 8, où je me contente de peu de retouches. Je préfère me concentrer sur la lumière, la composition, l'instant. J'aime dire que je fais de la “photo bio” une expression que mes amis photographes reprennent volontiers, parfois avec un sourire en coin, eux qui excellent dans l'art complexe et captivant de Photoshop. Moi, je choisis de sortir, me tromper… puis ressortir si possible, pour tenter de capter ce que j'avais imaginé.

Ma photographie est aussi une forme de résistance douce. Je lutte contre le réchauffement psychologique et climatique de la planète, contre les tensions invisibles du quotidien, en photographiant ce qui, pour moi, mérite d'être dénoncé ou encouragé. Ce sont des images du réel, du simple, du fragile. Des photos de tous les jours, portées par une sensibilité propre, un regard qui cherche plus à questionner qu'à démontrer.

An amateur photographer with a passion dating back to the 1970s, I took my first steps in the darkroom of the Saint-Michel photo club, near Évreux. Since then, photography has never left me. It has become a language, a way of seeing the world sometimes critical, sometimes gentle.

I have deep admiration for photographers like Letizia Le Fur, Saul Leiter, Stéphane Lavoué, Ismail Ferdous, Camille Brasselet, and many others who inspire me through the strength of their vision and unique perspectives.

Today, I continue this journey with a Leica Q2 and a Fuji X-H2, paired with a faithful 16–55 mm lens. My images come to life in DXO Photolab 8, with minimal retouching. I focus on light, composition, and the moment itself. I like to say I practice “organic photography” a phrase my photographer friends often repeat with a knowing smile, as they master the complex and fascinating art of Photoshop. As for me, I'd rather go out, fail, and go back out again in search of the image I had in mind.

My photography is also a form of gentle resistance. I stand against both the psychological and climatic warming of the planet, as well as the invisible tensions of everyday life, by capturing what, in my view, deserves to be either challenged or celebrated. These are images of the real, the simple, the fragile everyday photographs guided by a personal sensitivity, a gaze that seeks more to question than to prove.
